Duane Putnam

Duane Clifford Putnam (1928–2016) was an offensive guard who played ten seasons in the National Football League after being selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round of the 1952 draft. Born in Pollock, South Dakota, he played college football at the University of the Pacific before his Army service with the First Cavalry. His NFL career included stops with the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, and Cleveland Browns. After retiring as a player, he moved into coaching as an offensive line coach for the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, and St. Louis Cardinals. He was a charter inductee of the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 1982.
