Ed Conlin

Edward James Conlin (1933–2012) was a 6'5" guard/forward who played in the NBA from 1955 to 1962 after starring at Fordham University. He appeared for the Syracuse Nationals, Detroit Pistons, and Philadelphia Warriors, averaging 10.1 points per game over his career. In February 1959, he was traded from Syracuse to Detroit in the deal that brought Hall of Famer George Yardley to the Nationals. After his playing days, Conlin returned to Fordham as an assistant under Johnny Bach before serving as head coach from 1968 to 1970. He was inducted into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame in 1973, and his number 11 was retired by the program in 2004.
