Edward Abel Joyal (born May 8, 1940, in St. Albert, Alberta) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who played in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, and Philadelphia Flyers from 1963 to 1972. He began his pro career with the Edmonton Flyers of the WHL in 1960–61, scoring 37 goals the following season before advancing to the AHL's Pittsburgh Hornets and then Detroit. In 1963–64 he appeared in 47 games and helped the Red Wings reach the Stanley Cup Finals, contributing a series-shifting winning goal against Toronto's Johnny Bower. He later played with the Alberta/Edmonton Oilers in the WHA from 1972 to 1976.
