Ed Karger

Edwin Karger, known as "Loose" (May 6, 1883 - September 9, 1957). He was a native of San Angelo, Texas, listed in playing days at 5'11", 185 lbs. He batted left-handed and threw left-handed. His major-league career ran from 1906 through 1911, primarily with the Boston Red Sox of the American League. His broader professional ledger — including minor-league seasons — extends from 1905 through 1921. On the cardboard side, his vintage presence runs through E90-1 American Caramel and T206 White Border, the two issues where period collectors most often encounter him. He died on September 9, 1957 in Delta, Colorado. He is interred at Delta Cemetery in Delta, Colorado.
