Ed Shack

Edward Steven Phillip Shack (February 11, 1937 – July 25, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player of Ukrainian descent who played in the NHL from 1959 to 1975. Known as "the Entertainer" and "the Nose," Shack played for six NHL teams during his career, spending eight and a half seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was part of four Stanley Cup championship teams with Toronto, winning in 1962, 1963, 1964, and 1967. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, he was the son of Ukrainian immigrants and began his hockey career with the Guelph Biltmores before reaching the NHL.
