Edward Abel Joyal (born May 8, 1940, in St. Albert, Alberta) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who played in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, and Philadelphia Flyers from 1963 to 1972. He began his professional career with the Edmonton Flyers of the WHL in 1960–61, scoring 37 goals in 1961–62 before advancing to the AHL and then Detroit. He helped the Red Wings reach the 1964 Stanley Cup Finals, scoring a deciding goal against Johnny Bower to give Detroit a 3–2 series lead. He later played in the WHA with the Alberta/Edmonton Oilers from 1972 to 1976.
