Eddie Kasko

Edward Michael Kasko (1931–2020) was a right-handed infielder who played ten seasons in Major League Baseball from 1957 to 1966 with the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Houston Colt .45s/Astros, and Boston Red Sox. A standout defensive player at shortstop and third base, he led National League third basemen in fielding percentage in 1960 and NL shortstops in that category in 1964. Kasko was selected to the 1961 National League All-Star team. Over 1,077 games he compiled a .264 batting average with 935 hits, including 146 doubles and 22 home runs. He later worked in baseball as a manager, scout, and front office executive.
