Edward Thomas Miksis (September 11, 1926 – April 8, 2005) was a right-handed utility infielder and outfielder who played fourteen seasons in Major League Baseball between 1944 and 1958. Born in Burlington, New Jersey, he debuted with the Brooklyn Dodgers at age 17 and went on to appear for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, and Cincinnati Reds. Across 1,042 games he batted .236 with 44 home runs and 228 RBI, covering all four infield positions and the outfield. He appeared in the 1947 and 1949 World Series with Brooklyn and served in the Navy for nearly two years during World War II.
