Edward Steven Phillip Shack (February 11, 1937 – July 25, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player of Ukrainian descent who played in the NHL from 1959 to 1975. Known as "the Entertainer" and "the Nose," Shack skated for six NHL franchises over his career, with his longest tenure — eight and a half seasons — coming with the Toronto Maple Leafs. During that stretch he was part of four Stanley Cup championship teams, winning in 1962, 1963, 1964, and 1967. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, he grew up the son of Ukrainian immigrants.
