Dossier

Thomas Ernest "Moose" Johnson (February 26, 1886 – March 25, 1963) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player whose career ran from 1905 to 1931. Playing left wing, he won four Stanley Cups between 1905 and 1910 with the Montreal Wanderers of the ECAHA and NHA. He moved west in 1911 to join the Pacific Coast Hockey Association, switching to defence and appearing for the New Westminster Royals, Portland Rosebuds, and Victoria Aristocrats. He earned PCHA first-team all-star honors eight times and reached the 1916 Stanley Cup Final with Portland. Johnson was known for an exceptionally long stick that gave him a 99-inch reach. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1952.
