Ferdinand "Fernie" Flaman (born January 25, 1927) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the NHL from the mid-1940s through the early 1960s, primarily with the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. A physical presence on the blue line known for his bodychecking, Flaman won a Stanley Cup with Toronto in 1951. He served as Bruins captain from 1955 until the end of his NHL career and earned three NHL Second All-Star Team selections (1955, 1957, 1958). He led the league in penalty minutes with 150 in 1954. He later coached at Northeastern University.
