Flynn Robinson

Flynn James Robinson (April 28, 1941 – May 23, 2013) was an American professional basketball player. A native of Murphysboro, Illinois, he moved as a child to Kinloch, Missouri, in the St. Louis area, and later to Elgin, Illinois, near Chicago. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1959, where he averaged 31 points per game in both his junior and senior years and led the team to its Regional and Conference Championships in 1959.
Robinson attended Southern Illinois University for one quarter beginning in September 1959, playing on the basketball team, before transferring to Casper College in Casper, Wyoming. He then moved on to the University of Wyoming in Laramie. A 6'1" guard, he was a three-time first-team All-Western Athletic Conference honoree, averaging 26.2 points per game as a sophomore, 25.6 as a junior, and 27 as a senior.
