Frank Clancy

Francis Michael "King" Clancy (February 25, 1902 – November 8, 1986) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who played 16 seasons in the NHL for the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs. Though among the smallest defensemen of his era, he was known for his speed and physical toughness. He won the Stanley Cup three times, including with Ottawa in 1923 and 1927, and earned All-Star honours during his playing career. After retiring in 1937, he coached the Montreal Maroons, then refereed in the NHL for 11 seasons before spending the remainder of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization as a coach and executive.
