Frank Snyder

Frank Elton "Pancho" Snyder (May 27, 1895 – January 5, 1962) was a catcher in Major League Baseball from 1912 to 1927, spending the bulk of his career with the New York Giants and St. Louis Cardinals. Of partial Mexican descent, Snyder joined the Cardinals at 18 before moving to the Giants mid-1919. He was a key contributor to New York's four consecutive National League pennants from 1921 to 1924 and two World Series championships in 1921 and 1922. He batted .320 in 1921, .343 in 1922, and .302 in 1924, and hit the first home run in the history of Braves Field in 1922.
