Fred Burchell

Frederick Duff Burchell (July 14, 1879 - November 20, 1951). He was a native of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, listed in playing days at 5'11", 190 lbs. He batted right-handed and threw left-handed. His major-league career ran from 1903 through 1909, primarily with the Boston Red Sox of the American League. His broader professional ledger — including minor-league seasons — extends from 1902 through 1914. On the cardboard side, his vintage presence runs through T204 Ramly and T206 White Border, the two issues where period collectors most often encounter him.
