Fred Girard Haney (April 25, 1896 – November 9, 1977) was a right-handed third baseman, manager, and executive in Major League Baseball. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised in Los Angeles, Haney played parts of seven seasons (1922–27, 1929) for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Cardinals, batting .275 with 229 RBI. He also spent significant time with the Pacific Coast League's Los Angeles Angels and Hollywood Stars. As a manager he led the Milwaukee Braves to two pennants and a World Series title, then served as the first general manager of the expansion Los Angeles Angels.
