Fred Snodgrass

Fred Snodgrass (October 19, 1887 – April 5, 1974), known as "Snow", was born Frederick Charles and hailed from Ventura, California. Listed at 175 pounds, he batted right-handed and threw right. He played in the major leagues from 1908 through 1916, an 8-season run, spending most of his career with the New York Giants of the National League. His broader professional career stretched from 1905 to 1917, bracketing his major-league years on both ends. To collectors, he is known from his appearance on E254 Colgan's Chips. He died April 5, 1974 in Ventura, California and is buried at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
