Freddie Solomon

Freddie Solomon (January 11, 1953 – February 13, 2012) was a wide receiver who played 11 seasons in the NFL from 1975 to 1985. A native of Sumter, South Carolina and graduate of the University of Tampa, where he played quarterback, Solomon was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 1975 NFL draft before later joining the San Francisco 49ers. He won two Super Bowls with San Francisco, the first two championships in franchise history. On December 5, 1976, he had a standout performance with 5 catches for 114 yards and a touchdown, a 59-yard rushing touchdown, and a 79-yard punt return for a touchdown.
