Gary Wood

Gary Wood (July 9, 1942 – March 3, 1994) was a professional football quarterback who played in the NFL from 1964 to 1969, appearing in 63 games for the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints. Born in Taylor, New York and raised in Cortland, he attended Cornell University, where he started three years at quarterback and led the nation in all-purpose yards in 1962 with 1,395. He was drafted by the Giants in the eighth round of the 1964 NFL Draft. His career completion percentage was 46.5% with a passer rating of 54.5. In 1996, he was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
