George Gibson

George Gibson (July 22, 1880 – January 25, 1967), known as "Moon", was born George C. and hailed from London, Ontario, Canada. Listed at 190 pounds, he batted right-handed and threw right. He played in the major leagues from 1905 through 1918, a 13-season run, spending most of his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League. His broader professional career stretched from 1903 to 1919, bracketing his major-league years on both ends. His card record includes appearances on E103 Williams Caramels, E125 American Caramel Die Cuts, E254 Colgan's Chips, E90-2 Pittsburgh American Caramel, and E92 Croft's Candy; in all, 10 sets feature him. He died January 25, 1967 in London, Ontario, Canada and is interred at Campbell Cemetery in Komoka, Ontario, Canada.
