George Lee

George C. Lee (born November 23, 1936) is a retired American basketball player and coach. A 6 ft 4 in forward/guard out of the University of Michigan, Lee was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the fourth round of the 1959 NBA Draft. He went on to play seven seasons in the NBA, spending two years with the Pistons before moving to the San Francisco Warriors, where he played five seasons. After retiring as a player in 1968, Lee transitioned to coaching and served as head coach of the Warriors for two seasons before being succeeded by Al Attles in 1970.
