Gern Nagler

Dossier
Robert Gern Nagler (1932–2020) played end in the National Football League for eight seasons. A captain of the Santa Clara Broncos in his senior year, Nagler was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 14th round of the 1953 NFL Draft before being included in a fifteen-player trade to the Baltimore Colts — at the time the largest trade in NFL history. Claimed off waivers by the Chicago Cardinals, he set the Cardinals' team record for receptions by a rookie with 43 catches in his first season.
