Giichiro Shiraki

Giichiro Shiraki was a Japanese professional baseball player. In 1946, he was among the players assembled by Saburo Yokozawa for the newly founded Tokyo Senators, the franchise that would later become the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Yokozawa, who had managed the Tokyo Senators in 1936–1937 before becoming a prominent umpire, sought to revive the franchise and built his roster with ready and able players including Hiroshi Oshita, Shigeya Iijima, and Shiraki. The team competed in Japanese professional baseball, with the franchise based in Tokyo during this early period.
