Gord Howe

Gordon Howe (March 31, 1928 – June 10, 2016) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right wing who played 26 seasons in the NHL and six in the WHA. His first 25 NHL seasons were spent with the Detroit Red Wings, beginning with his debut in 1946. He won the Art Ross Trophy six times, leading the league in points from 1950–51 through 1953–54 and again in 1956–57 and 1962–63. He led the NHL in goal-scoring four times. A 23-time NHL All-Star, he retired holding NHL records for goals (801), assists (1,049), and points (1,850), all later surpassed by Wayne Gretzky.
