Gregg Bingham

Dossier
Gregory Raleigh Bingham (born March 13, 1951) played linebacker for the Houston Oilers from 1973 through 1984. He attended Gordon Tech High School in Chicago, where he played tight end and linebacker, before moving to Purdue, where he started at middle guard and nose tackle. Bingham earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in his junior and senior seasons of 1971 and 1972, a run that likely would have started a year earlier had he not broken his ankle during a 1970 upset of then-third-ranked Stanford. With the Oilers he led the league in tackles and recorded four touchdowns over his twelve-year career.
