Hal Trosky

Harold Arthur Trosky Sr., born November 11, 1912, in Norway, Iowa, played first base in the American League from 1933 to 1946. A left-handed hitter who threw right-handed, Trosky spent the bulk of his career with the Cleveland Indians before finishing with the Chicago White Sox in 1944 and 1946. He posted a career batting average of .302 with 228 home runs and 1,012 RBIs across 1,561 hits. In his 1934 rookie season his 374 total bases set an AL rookie record. He led the American League in RBIs in 1936 and was inducted into the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame in 1951.
