Hal Winkler

Harold "Baldy" Winkler (March 20, 1894 – May 29, 1956) was a Canadian ice hockey goaltender who played professionally from 1921 to 1928. He began his career with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Western Canada Hockey League in 1922 and also played for the Calgary Tigers before moving to the NHL with the New York Rangers in 1926. The Boston Bruins acquired him from New York in January 1927. In 1927–28, Winkler recorded 15 shutouts in 44 games for Boston, a mark that remains tied for second-most shutouts in a single NHL season. He earned his nickname "Baldy" after losing his hair at an early age.
