Harvey Bennett Sr. (born July 23, 1925, Ettington, Saskatchewan; died November 21, 2004) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who appeared in one NHL season with the Boston Bruins in 1944–45, posting a 10–12–2 record. He is best known as the goaltender who surrendered Maurice Richard's 50th goal in 50 games on March 18, 1945, a milestone for the Montreal Canadiens. Bennett was later inducted into the American Hockey League Hall of Fame (2013) and the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame (2018). Three of his sons — Harvey Jr., Curt, and Bill — went on to play in the NHL.
