Howard Twilley

Howard Twilley (December 25, 1943 – February 5, 2025) was a wide receiver who played for the Miami Dolphins in the AFL and NFL from 1966 to 1976. He played college football at Tulsa, where he finished runner-up for the 1965 Heisman Trophy after setting NCAA records with 134 receptions and 1,779 receiving yards in a single season. Twilley and offensive tackle Norm Evans were the only two members of the original 1966 Dolphins roster to remain on the 1972 squad that completed the NFL's only perfect season and won Super Bowl VII. He was also part of the Dolphins team that won Super Bowl VIII the following year.
