Ira Harge

Ira Lee Harge (born March 14, 1941, in Anguilla, Mississippi) was a professional basketball player who grew up in Detroit and played college ball at Burlington Junior College in Iowa — where he earned Juco All-American honors — before transferring to the University of New Mexico. He played six seasons in the American Basketball Association and won two ABA championships during his professional career. After retiring, Harge earned a master's degree in education from UNM in 1969 and went on to work as a coach and teacher in Albuquerque.
