Jack McIlhargey

Jack McIlhargey (March 7, 1952 – July 19, 2020) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played eight seasons in the NHL. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, he went undrafted before signing with the Jersey Devils of the EHL and working his way through the minors. He played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, and Hartford Whalers between 1974 and 1982, appearing in two Stanley Cup Finals with Philadelphia in 1975 and 1980. Known for a physical style that produced heavy penalty totals, he later worked as a coach and scout for the Canucks and Flyers after retiring.
