Jean Lemieux

Mario Lemieux is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played parts of 17 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins between 1984 and 2005. Selected first overall in the 1984 NHL entry draft, he led Pittsburgh to consecutive Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992. He won the Hart Trophy three times, the Art Ross Trophy six times, and the Conn Smythe Trophy. He also led Team Canada to a gold medal at the 2002 Olympics and a Canada Cup in 1987. Lemieux assumed ownership of the Penguins in 1999, making him the only individual to have his name on the Stanley Cup as both player and owner.
