Jeffrey Vincent Mullins, born March 18, 1942, in Astoria, Queens, New York, is an American former basketball player and coach. He attended Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky, where he played on the school's basketball team. He went on to play college basketball with the Duke Blue Devils, where he was named first-team All-ACC for three consecutive seasons from 1961 to 1964 and was the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year and the conference's athlete of the year in 1963–64. He was a consensus second-team All-American in 1964. His Duke teams twice reached the Final Four of the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, and he was selected to the All-Tournament Team in 1964, a season in which he scored 43 points in a single tournament game. In the NBA, Mullins played for the St. Louis Hawks and the San Francisco/Golden State Warriors, earning selection as a three-time NBA All-Star. After his playing career, he served as the head basketball coach at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1985 to 1996. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year in 1988 and led his team to the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament three times.
