Jere Gillis

Jere Gillis (born January 18, 1957, in Bend, Oregon) is a former professional ice hockey player who spent a decade in the NHL from 1977 to 1987. Selected fourth overall in the 1977 NHL amateur draft by the Vancouver Canucks, he also suited up for the New York Rangers, Quebec Nordiques, Buffalo Sabres, and Philadelphia Flyers. After his NHL career, Gillis played in the United Kingdom for the Solihull Barons and Peterborough Pirates from 1988 to 1991. He later pursued careers as an actor and stuntman. His parents both competed as skiers at the 1948 Winter Olympics.
