Jerry Priddy

Gerald Edward Priddy (1919–1980) was a second baseman who played eleven seasons in Major League Baseball. Born in Los Angeles, he was signed by the New York Yankees and spent three years in their minor league system alongside shortstop Phil Rizzuto, forming a double-play combination that drew wide attention. With the 1939 Kansas City Blues, Priddy hit .333 with 24 home runs and 107 RBIs, leading the American Association with 44 doubles. He reached the majors with the Yankees in 1941 and went on to play for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, and Detroit Tigers before retiring after the 1953 season.
