Jesse Haines

Jesse Joseph Haines (1893–1978), nicknamed "Pop," was a right-handed pitcher who spent nearly his entire major league career with the St. Louis Cardinals (1920–1937), with a brief earlier appearance for the Cincinnati Reds in 1918. Known as a fiery competitor on the mound despite an easygoing nature off the field, Haines was part of three Cardinals World Series championship teams. He retired with a 210–158 win-loss record and ranks second in Cardinals franchise history in shutouts. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970 and inducted into the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum in 2014.
