Jim Barnett

James Franklin Barnett (born July 7, 1944) is an American former professional basketball player who later worked as a broadcaster. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, and raised in Riverside, California, Barnett was selected as an NCAA All-American while playing for the University of Oregon.

The Boston Celtics selected Barnett with the eighth overall pick in the 1966 NBA draft. Over an 11-year career, he played for several teams, including the San Diego Rockets, the Portland Trail Blazers, the New Orleans Jazz, the New York Knicks, and the Philadelphia 76ers. He played for the Golden State Warriors for three seasons, from 1971 to 1974.

After his playing career, Barnett became the Golden State Warriors television analyst, a role he held from 1985 to 2019, and later split time as the team's radio color analyst on 95.7 The Game.

Barnett is a member of the Riverside Hall of Fame, the University of Oregon Hall of Fame, and the State of Oregon Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the Pac-12 Basketball Hall of Honor during the 2012 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament on March 10, 2012.
