Jim O'Brien

James Eugene O'Brien (born February 2, 1947, El Paso, Texas) played placekicker and wide receiver in the NFL from 1970 to 1973, spending his first three seasons with the Baltimore Colts before finishing with the Detroit Lions. He attended the University of Cincinnati after a medical discharge from the Air Force Academy, where he led the nation in scoring in 1968 with 142 points on 44 receptions, 12 receiving touchdowns, 13 field goals, and 31 PATs. O'Brien is best known for kicking the game-winning field goal in the final seconds of Super Bowl V, becoming the first of three placekickers to win a Super Bowl on a last-second field goal.
