Jim Price

James E. Price (born November 27, 1949) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals before being selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 1972 NBA draft. Over seven NBA seasons from 1972 to 1979, Price suited up for the Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Buffalo Braves, Denver Nuggets, and Detroit Pistons. He earned All-Star honors in 1975, the same season he was traded midseason from the Lakers to the Bucks for Lucius Allen.

Price was a product of Arsenal Technical High School in Indiana, where he played alongside his older brother Mike Price and helped lead the Titans to the State Finals in 1966, the team finishing with a 25–4 record. Following his playing career, he moved into coaching, serving five years as head coach of the IUPUI Jaguars women's team and compiling a record of 73–55 with three NAIA post-season berths.

Price was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008.
