Jim Ringo

James Stephen Ringo (November 21, 1931 – November 19, 2007) was an American professional football player and coach in the National Football League. Born in Orange, New Jersey, he was raised in Phillipsburg, where he played high school football at Phillipsburg High School and also competed in basketball and track. He played college football for the Syracuse Orangemen and was selected in the seventh round of the 1953 NFL draft.

Ringo played 15 seasons as a center for the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles. He earned 10 Pro Bowl selections and at one time held the record for most consecutive games played, with 182. He was a member of two NFL championship teams with Green Bay and was named to the NFL 1960s All-Decade Team. Following his playing career, he also worked as a coach in the NFL.

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981, and is also a member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame.
