James Michael Slaton (born June 19, 1950) pitched in the American League for 16 seasons from 1971 to 1986, spending the majority of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers. A product of Antelope Valley College, Slaton holds the Brewers franchise records in wins (117), innings pitched (2025.1), games started (268), and shutouts (19). He represented the Brewers in the 1977 All-Star Game and was the winning pitcher in Game 4 of the 1982 World Series against St. Louis. He also played for the Detroit Tigers and California Angels before retiring in 1986.
