James Walter, known as "Little Nemo", was born December 10, 1883 in Salineville, Ohio, and died January 2, 1965 in Oxford, Alabama. He made his major-league debut in 1907 and was associated chiefly with the St. Louis Browns, with his final big-league appearance coming in 1912. His broader professional career — including minor-league service — extended through 1917. He was listed at 157 pounds, and batted and threw right-handed. He appears on the T206 White Border and T204 Ramly issues, two of the defining sets of the deadball era. He is buried at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Alabama.
