Jim Whalen

Jim Whalen (born May 20, 1943, Cambridge, Massachusetts) was a tight end who played college football at Boston College, earning two first-team All-East selections and one All-American honor. He was selected in the third round of the 1965 AFL Draft by the Boston Patriots and the fourth round of the 1965 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. Whalen played professionally for the Boston Patriots, Denver Broncos, and Philadelphia Eagles. On October 15, 1967, he caught three touchdown passes for the Patriots in a 41–10 win over the Miami Dolphins, setting a team record at Boston College Alumni Stadium.
