Jimmy Carr

James Henry Carr (March 25, 1933 – August 13, 2012) played nine seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins, and one season with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL in 1958. A cornerback, Carr started at left corner for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1960 when the team won the NFL World Championship, defeating the Green Bay Packers. He played college football at Morris Harvey College in Charleston, West Virginia, appearing in three bowl games and earning induction into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1962. In 1964 he was traded to Washington along with Sonny Jurgensen for Norm Snead and Claude Crabb.
