Joseph Carlton Ferguson Jr. (born April 23, 1950) was a quarterback who spent 17 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Buffalo Bills after being selected in the third round of the 1973 NFL draft. He played high school football at Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he succeeded Terry Bradshaw as starting quarterback and led the team to the Louisiana Class AAA state championship in 1968. At the University of Arkansas he held the school single-game completion record (31, against Texas A&M in 1971) until 2012 and was named MVP of the 1971 Liberty Bowl.
