Alfred Joseph "Gentleman Joe" Primeau (January 29, 1906 – May 14, 1989) was a Canadian professional ice hockey center who spent his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Born in Lindsay, Ontario, he joined the Maple Leafs full-time in 1929–30 and centered the celebrated Kid Line alongside Charlie Conacher and Busher Jackson. Primeau won the Stanley Cup in 1931–32, the same season he earned the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. He retired in 1936 having scored 66 goals and 177 assists in 310 NHL games. Primeau was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1963.
