Harold Edward Joseph "Bullet Joe" Simpson (1893–1973) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman born in Selkirk, Manitoba. He earned his nickname for his fast skating ability and played in the Western Canada Hockey League with the Edmonton Eskimos before joining the New York Americans, where he played from 1920 to 1931. He later served as head coach of the Americans from 1932 to 1935. During World War I, he served with the Canadian military and helped his battalion team win the 1916 Allan Cup. Simpson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
