John Barrow

John B. Barrow (October 31, 1935 – February 17, 2015) was an American football player who spent fourteen seasons as an offensive and defensive tackle in the Canadian Football League across the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Born in Delray Beach, Florida, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he played as an offensive and defensive lineman for coach Bob Woodruff's Florida Gators from 1954 to 1956. As a senior in 1956, Barrow served as the Gators' team captain and earned first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors as well as Football Writers Association of America first-team All-American recognition.

The Detroit Lions of the National Football League selected Barrow in the fifth round, 59th overall, of the 1957 NFL draft. He instead played professionally for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League, where he spent his fourteen-year career.

Barrow was later inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. He was also enshrined in the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame as a "Gator Great."
