John Bliss

John Bliss appears in the surviving pre-war baseball-card record but with limited biographical data attached to the subject in the available sources. His one cataloged appearance is in the E90-1 American Caramel issue. These early-twentieth-century tobacco and caramel sets routinely included subjects — coaches, minor leaguers, semipros, and short-tenure professionals — whose careers left thin traces in the box-score record but whose cards survived in collector hands. For Grail's comp model, the value of his card sits chiefly with the issue itself and its raw-condition population on the registry, rather than on biographical demand.
