John Ferguson

Dossier
Stop — these facts are for the wrong person.
The card is for **John Ferguson Sr.** (1938–2007), the Montreal Canadiens enforcer who'd actually appear on a pre-1980 vintage card. The FACTS block is his **son**, John Ferguson Jr. (b. 1967), an NHL executive — assistant GM, former Maple Leafs GM, never an NHL player. The Wikipedia fetch grabbed `John Ferguson Jr.` instead of the father.
If I wrote a bio from this block, the `john_ferguson.json` entry would describe a 1967-born front-office exec on a vintage-player card page. That's a factual error baked into the reference data, and it'd pass review looking clean.
I'm not writing it. Two ways forward:
1. **Re-fetch** the correct source (Wikipedia: *John Ferguson (ice hockey, born 1938)*) and re-run this card, or 2. **Skip** `john_ferguson` in this batch and flag it for manual sourcing.
One thing worth checking before you move on: this looks like a name-collision failure in the bio-grounding fetch step (common-name player gets the disambiguated relative/junior). If the overnight run resolved Wikipedia titles by bare name, there may be **other collisions** in the batch — juniors, seniors, same-name players across eras. Worth a grep of the generated bios for birth dates that postdate 1980, or roles ("general manager," "assistant," "agent") that can't belong to a vintage player.
